Below is a partial list of our services and pricing. As a full service shop we offer many services and products that are not listed. We are also continuing to expand this list as time goes on for your convenience. ( It is tough to find time to work on these and take care of the shop work too!!!! Bear with us.) If you need something done just give us a call or e-mail and we will gladly get a price out to you. We work on all types of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. And unlike many smithing shops, we don't consider any type of job as too small or mundane for our consideration. In fact, we view every job as "custom" in it's own right. After all, if you think about it, every job big or small is indeed a bit of a custom project!

Custom Rifle Action and Barrel Work
Fit and chamber new barrel: Customer supplied barrel (We can supply new barrel of your choice at cost if you like) includes barrel fitting and finish chamber, cut to desired length, muzzle crown. (Bluing extra) $150.00

Custom recoil lug of your choice $20.00 - $25.00
Note: We recommend replacing recoil lug in place of commonly offered surface re-grind of the factory part. The custom lugs are of superior quality, and the cost is roughly the same as surface grinding anyway. We will install the factory lug on jobs where a new lug is not specified.
Set back barrel and re-chamber to shorter rounds or Ackley Improved: For conversions such as 223 to 221FB, 204 to 20Vartarg, etc. Also for re-chamber to the popular AI chambers where a setback is mandatory for proper headspace and function. $125.00 and up
Lengthen chamber: 222 to 223, etc. $100.00 and up
Cut and crown barrel $40.00
Drill and tap for sights or mounts $15.00 per hole
Adjust factor trigger (Most bolt actions) $25.00
Install after market trigger (Most guns) $25.00 - $75.00
Note: Custom triggers often require modifications to the stock inletting and occasionally to the bedding or other parts of the rifle. We prefer to have the complete rifle when possible to assure a correct fit. When fitting a trigger to an action or barreled action only we assume no responsibility for final fit.
Thread barrel for muzzle brake (Does not include brake) $50.00

Complete disassembly, full cleaning, lube and reassemble of most firearms $45.00
For badly fouled barrels that need extensive carbon/copper removal add $25.00

The Basic
This is our basic rifle package, offering great versatility and outstanding value for the dollar in a custom rifle. Built around the Remington 700, M7, or 40X which we fully blueprint for top precision. You can choose a premium barrel in your choice of contour, from any of the top makers, such as Pac-Nor, Shilen, or Lilja. And we will chamber it for the standard or wildcat cartridge of your choice. We will then pillar/glass bed and free float, into a top quality synthetic stock of your choice from Bell & Carlson, McMillan, High Tech, HS, Stockade, or MPI. Paint, camo, or texture in your choice of colors. Trigger will be reworked and set at 2lbs. Speedlock firing pin and spring. Holland Recoil lug. Bead blast finish or standard polish on action and barrel. $1750.00-Customer supplied action
(Note: Custom actions can be substituted and the Blueprinting price will be adjusted out. Other model actions can be used, but price may vary according the action work required to meet standards. While Pac-Nor, Shilen, or Lilja are our preferred barrel makers, we will gladly substitute others at your request. Barrels selection is limited to regular contours. Specialty contours, fluting, octagons, and other cosmetic services may add extra costs, please contact us for details. Other trigger options are available on request. )

The above are some of the more common custom services provided by H-G Firearms LLC. Many other common services such as installation of safeties, bolt handles, shrouds, speed locks. Etc. are done on a parts plus cost bid basis. We also work on Ruger No. 1, and other single shots, and lever actions, as well as many rim fire models such as the 10/22, and CZ’s. Many of our services are done P.O.R due to wide range of variable involved with many projects on these arms. Return shipping and handling on all projects is extra, and typically runs $25.00 - $35.00. Price will be quoted with all projects.
